Make Eating Easy

It can be done, even after bariatric surgery!

Life after weight loss surgery can be surprisingly tough; weight regain sends you into a spiral of shame, doubt, and frustration or you’re left wondering if you even know how or what to eat.

Or, you’re tired of the diet world. The amount of headspace that is being used up just thinking about eating is enough to make you crazy.

Stop the constant worry and questioning of every bite. Renew your confidence and return to the joy and ease of those early years after surgery. You can maintain your happy weight. Let me show you how.

That first year or two after surgery is often referred to as the honeymoon phase.
Your stomach gives you a very clear message to stop eating; “One more bite and I’ll turn into one irritable (w)itch”! You barely feel hungry at all. Those cookies in the office or granola bar on the counter don’t scare you.
And, when you get on the scale you see change, the numbers are decreasing.
You are motivated, happy, and seeing results.

Is there a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?

Usually that pot at the end of the rainbow is filled with more questions and a bit of, “What tha heck do I do now?”

How do you handle hunger when you’ve never been hungry with a small stomach?
When your pouch has chilled out how do you know what to eat?
What happens when the scale gets stubborn or when the numbers are increasing?

That ol’ diet mindset can sneak back in and that new fad diet begins to look more and more alluring. But remember, you were done with all that sh*t.

I am a registered dietitian and board certified specialist in obesity and weight management. I’m happiest outside, preferably among mountains, or in the kitchen among a pile of cookbooks. I have a goofy little family and a 75 pound lap-lab named Fennel.

I became a dietitian because I love food and specialized in bariatrics because I love people.

I have been working in bariatrics for the past 20 years across the US and world with people just beginning to think about surgery to folks who had surgery decades ago.

I am committed to serving those who are years out from surgery -  helping you restore your confidence and reconnecting you with your bari-roots so you can experience freedom from the diet mentality.
